Marketing your business at The Historic Village
Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to The Historic Village. We are thrilled to have your business in our community.
This page provides information on some helpful, free marketing channels you can utilise to let our community know about your business.
The Historic Village website
The Historic Village website contains information on all businesses on site, whether a retail shop, hospitality or a community service.
To have your business listed on the website please supply:
- Image: 370x247 pixels, text-free. A simple, fresh image that represents your business or service. See examples.
- Headline: Business name
- Copy: 280 characters max with spaces. Describe what your business is or does. Please write in third person.
- Clickable URL: a landing page where the visitor can find out more information. Preference for website, otherwise a social media account can work.
Website images
We like to keep the images on our website homepage fresh, if you have one you’d like to submit to be uploaded, please send through by email.
We often feature large events on our homepage banner. If you would like your event to be included, please send a high-resolution image sized at 2000x600 pixels.
Social media
We have a large, friendly social media community on The Historic Village Facebook and Instagram pages. If you have some interesting news or content, please email us with details outlined below. Please note content may be edited slightly to suit The Village vibe and audience.
Social post content needed:
- Text-free image or video. If text-free isn’t possible, then limited text.
- Short copy (max 80 words approx.) with Facebook or Instagram tags included. Please write in third person (we may make tweaks to copy to ensure it is in the Village tone of voice).
- A URL to click through to find out more.
- Date range to post in.
