Draw big crowds and create maximum impact

The Village Green has been home to many incredible events over the years including Tauranga’s Jazz Festival village, Gincredible, Tauranga Multicultural Festival, Diwali celebrations and the city’s popular Fringe Festival and Trans Pride events.

This large outdoor space sits on the southeastern side of The Historic Village and has direct public access off 17th Ave. The wide expanse of lawn can be fenced off for ticketed events or left open for people to come and go as they please. A stage (with power) is available and the entire area is surrounded by mature trees and attractive bush.

The Colonel Greer building sits on the outskirts of the Village Green and provides a base for festival organisers to operate from. Access wi-fi, office desks, multi-display screens, air conditioning/heating and a wet room/storage area to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. The nearby Durham Barracks can also be hired for additional indoor space or as a VIP lounge area.
