With all 3 films Academy Award winners for costume design, come join us at the Village Community Cinema for these inspiring crafty film screenings - think knitting, crochet, hand-sewing, journalling, hand-embroidery, sketching.

A road-trip classic about two drag queens Anthony (Hugo Weaving), Adam (Guy Pearce) and transgender Bernadette (Terrance Stamp), who head to Alice Springs in their colourful bus, named Priscilla. The three performers travel across the Australian desert performing for enthusiastic crowds and hostile locals to put on a stage show extravaganza. Based upon the lives of three actual drag queens - Cindy Pastel, Strykermeyer, and Lady Bump, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is a 1994 Australian film classic that also won best costume design at the Academy Awards.
