In this workshop you’ll explore textured painting, a technique where paint is mixed and applied in thicker layers to create depth on the canvas. Instead of focusing on perfect brushstrokes, it’s about playing with shapes and movement. It’s surprisingly freeing and a lot of fun!
Laura will guide you step by step, but there’s plenty of room to experiment and make the piece your own. By the end of the session, you’ll have your own textured artwork to take home.

Laura is an Incubator resident artist in the Villa Studios - pop in and say hi! Deeply inspired by the ocean, Laura’s work reflects the intricate beauty of coral formations and marine ecosystems. Using textured layers, structural elements and resin, she creates tactile pieces that evoke the depth and movement found beneath the water’s surface.
