We're launching the Friday Night Flicks cinematic programme with respect and homage to the incredible legacy of Sir Sam Neill. With such a remarkable and extensive body of work, we couldn't go past Dr Alan Grant in the original Jurassic Park.
This 1993 cult classic is directed by Steven Spielberg and based on Michael Crichton's 1990 novel. The film follows a group of scientists invited to tour a revolutionary safari theme park populated with cloned dinosaurs. After corporate sabotage shuts down the power and security systems, the cloned predators escape, and the trapped visitors must fight for their survival.
