Rotorua artist and long time friend of the Incubator, Claire Delaney is bringing her ever popular Character Dolls workshop back to the Creative Campus!
Come and join in with other quirky and innovative crafters to explore the world of character doll making. Make your own character doll out of Sculpey clay and wire. Have fun dressing and embellishing them with fabric, beads, buttons, and treasures.
2-day workshop: 6 Jun 2026, 10:00 am – 7 Jun 2026, 4:00 pm
All materials supplied but you may wish to bring fabrics and other embellishments. Suitable for beginners or more experienced artists.
Claire Delaney is a visual storyteller living in Rotorua. Originally from the UK she got a BA hon in Textiles and fashion attributing this to why her characters are always so uniquely dressed. Claire’s style is described as whimsical and playful. She has written and illustrated several of her own books and illustrates constantly for commission work. With a passion for the creative process, she has taught art in the community for thirty years.
