Be part of a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity, unity and community spirit: sing along to conscious kirtan music, let your feet dance with NZ's top-tier Diwali artists, and taste Tauranga's best vegetarian Indian Street food offerings. Together we'll create a sense of belonging and spark the appreciation and curiosity of the deeper meaning of Diwali.

Come and light the diyas, say a prayer from the heart and immerse yourself in a truly cultural, soul-touching festival experience like no other in Tauranga.

We are launching this year's glorious Tauranga Diwali Festival celebration. The volunteers, stallholders, dancers and singers brought many WOWs to the crowd.

This year, hundreds of magnificent people will give so much to create what the Tauranga Diwali Festival is. The heart, the soul, the kaupapa... has remained the same since day one. The event is an amazing feat of endurance and collective agreement of what matters the most - to create an individual, beautiful, cultural and spiritual platform where everyone feels welcome.

Tauranga has a beautiful, diverse and culturally rich community and so many of you have supported and contributed to what the Tauranga Diwali Festival is. This is the dream come true.

Celebrating Diwali is a perfect opportunity to feel boundless joy! Thank you for being part of this incredible journey - it makes a big difference to our people in Tauranga!
