Get ready for the most vibrant, flamboyant street party of the year!
Mark your calendars for a spectacular day of art, culture, and community celebration. We're not just launching one thing, but seven incredible artistic experiences, all in one day!
Here’s the schedule – don’t miss a thing!
- 9:30am: Official Blessing and Launch of the Tauranga Runway
Witness the historic unveiling of nearly 100 metres of stunning public art! This permanent installation features 8 artists sharing powerful stories of Whenua, Kotahitanga, Hauora, and Whakapapa.
Please stand to the side of the road and not on the artwork prior to the blessing.
- 10:00am: Six Exhibition Openings and Gathering
Immediately following the blessing, the party continues as we throw open the doors to six unique exhibitions across the village!
And the fun continues with:
- Live music: enjoy performances from the Mount Maunganui College Street Band, Tauranga Boys College, and Jack Dusty’s Ukulele Group.
- Street entertainment and stalls: a buzzing atmosphere with fun for the whole family.
- Village-wide fun: explore, discover, and celebrate our incredible creative community!
