The fabulous potters from The Pot House Gallery are stepping up to showcase a collection of stunning pottery crafted by our fabulous over-65 potters who’ve tossed the old age myths aside like yesterdays newspaper.
These potters have taken on the challenge to represent 'seniors' in our clay loving community and help demonstrate that the great stuff doesn't stop once you reach 65.
There will be works on show from each age qualifying member with interesting individual stories of their lives and how they have kicked 'old age pensioner type stereotypes to the kerb.
Witness the magic of pottery from a talented group whose age reflects years of experience, skill and earned respect from the younger potters in the clay world.
This ceramic exhibition is curated to align with the 'Young at Heart' Tauranga week long event celebrating our seniors and launches at 'Village Vibes' - Day in the Village event on 3 October at 10am.
Village Vibes is an event presented by the Incubator Creative Hub to celebrate our older people and younger, during the school holidays.
A day of collaboration with the amazing Village People and organisations.
Live music including a Barber shop quartet, 3 other art exhibitions in our other gallery spaces, a free morning tea for seniors, workshops, demonstrations and open days to visit the great spaces homed in the Village. 10am to 3pm.
Everyone’s invited. The exhibition will be on display in The Pot House Gallery from October 3 to 19, 10am to 3pm.
